Gearbox shafts
There are a number of different shafts in a gearbox – sun shaft, planetary shaft, hollow shaft, plus low and high speed shaft. What they all have in common is that they are steel components with high strength and hardness. Sizes range from 0.25 to 1.3 metres long with diameters ranging from 80-500 mm.
