DELMIA Machining integration

Sandvik Coromant and Dassault Systèmes are partnering to enhance workflow efficiency and process security. Through the seamless integration of the CoroPlus® Tool Library with DELMIA Machining, users can easily access recommended tools, build complete tool assemblies, and import them directly into their CAM environment.

Supported tool types:

  • Milling tools
  • Drilling tools
  • Tapping tools
  • Reaming tools
  • Boring bar/head (internal turning)


Installation

The CoroPlus® Tool Library integration is included by default in the standard DELMIA Machining installation - No additional setup or configuration is needed. However, users must have access to the Cutting Tool Technologist role to use it.

Access to CoroPlus® Tool Library

You can access the CoroPlus® Tool Library by following the steps below.

Accessing the Cutting Tools Builder in 3DEXPERIENCE

1. On the 3DEXPERIENCE webpage, click 3DCompass.

2. Select the Cutting Tool Technologist role.

3. Launch the Cutting Tools Builder application.

Accessing CoroPlus® Tool Library from the Cutting Tools Builder

1. In the Cutting Tools Builder application, go to the Setup section on the toolbar and launch the Catalog Search command.

2. In the Tool Vendors Catalogs window, click the CoroPlus® logo.

Note: You might need to log in or sign up to the CoroPlus® Tool Library to proceed.

Build and send your tool assembly to DELMIA

Build your assembly

1. If you don’t have an assembly, click New assembly.

Follow the instructions to build an assembly.

2. Select matching items from the catalogue.

3. Once the building process is complete, specify the assembly name and an optional description.

4. Click Save to store the assembly composition.  

Send your tool assembly to DELMIA

1. After saving, click Send to DELMIA.

2. A popup dialogue may appear for confirmation, click OK.

3. Wait until the process is complete.

You can also import an assembly to DELMIA Machining from the assembly list:

1. Select a previously created assembly

2. Click Send to DELMIA.


The tool assembly has been imported and is ready for programming and simulation.
